Sunday. A day that takes forever to arrive and is over far too soon. But it’s that fleeting feeling that makes Sunday so special.

We’ve taken everything that makes Sunday the best day of the week and turned it into every day of the week. Welcome to The Sundays, a boutique escape in Australia's Whitsundays in the  heart of the Great Barrier Reef. Created with families in mind, a getaway designed to help you relax, reconnect and recharge with those who matter most. Kick back a little further, pull loved ones a little closer, soak up every ray and savour every moment. While your time here may not last forever, the feeling it inspires will.

A new boutique escape in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef

Nestled amongst the palms at the northern end of Catseye Beach, The Sundays captures the essence of Hamilton Island’s tropical surroundings. It’s a place where warm oceans meet chilled brunches, and Monday never arrives.  It’s a world away just a few hours away from Australia’s east coast – with daily direct flights from Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne and easy boat transfers from the Queensland mainland.

With 59 guestrooms offering Coral Sea views, each space has been crafted to instil a sense of calm and re-energisation.  A serene colour palette of cool sea greens and warm beach tones create an ambience of luxury and ease. From fresh, local fare to poolside spritzes overlooking stunning Coral Sea views, dining at The Sundays is a feast for the eyes as well as the palette. Sip and swim between courses, let breakfast, lunch and dinner blur into one, and devour some of the best views on the island. At The Sundays, guests can expect a waters-edge restaurant and bar offering al fresco dining with views of the aquatic playground that is Catseye Bay.
